“This was our Club’s first event at this venue. The MD, a fellow petrolhead, understood exactly what we wanted to achieve and much we hadn’t thought of. They even had contingencies for wet weather. He and all his staff did all they could to help us run a great event. Secure, reserved parking, mostly at the front of the imposing hotel made a perfect backdrop.
Good food and bar in a convivial atmosphere. The lovely, location with all the attractions of elegant of Harrogate just a stroll away. The tipi in the garden was the perfect place for the barbeque on the evening after our driving day.
The roads made a wonderful drive through glorious countryside, with lovely little towns to stop off at for refreshments and an infinite variety of routes to choose from.
This venue won such acclaim within the Club that we’ve now decided to make this a regular annual event, so please don’t book our Club weekend.”

“I manage a small business which specialises in the sale and service of a particular brand of niche British sports cars. Due to the kind of vehicles these are, there is a very close knit community around them, not just in the local area, but nationwide. Whilst I generally cater for the local owners, and like to throw on a couple of social events per year for them, It was a real ambition of mine to create a larger event which attracted owners from across the country.
Following some discussions, we decided to use Cedar Court Hotel in the middle of Harrogate to act as a base for the event, which ran in June 2025. The event went perfectly! So well in fact that we immediately reorganized it for the following year and sold out within a few days. The hotel made for the perfect spot. The pretty front carpark with a picturesque fountain and that gorgeous 17th century building made for the perfect backdrop to capture the gathering. There was a huge secondary carpark behind the building too, which meant space was never going to be an issue. They even laid on some spaces for us to use as washbays to clean the cars after the run, with hose pipes provided free of charge.
Fortunately, the weather was lovely, but the hotel had planned for us to use their giant Tipi on the front lawn as a base of operations during the day, and the ideal spot to entertain in the evening should the weather have not been so kind.
Overall, as a site for running a car club meet/drive out, in my view it couldnt be more perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, the food was excellent, the carpark is large, pretty and secure. The location in the middle of Harrogate offers plenty of options for those who are less interested in the cars, and then of course, the local roads are awesome, with direct access to the Dales or Moors. Five stars, ten out of ten, absolutely top drawer.”
